Marimar of the House of Heartshaven grew up fully aware of the shame cast on his family by his father’s betrayal. The name Heartshaven became a byword for foul deeds and treachery, and for a proud young High Elf this was hard to bare.
Marimar hid himself in his studies, progressed far enough in the Mage's Guild to gain access to the library and then set about his own independent studies.
He began to build a reputation in the field of magical books, and in particular books that gave magical boost to key skills. However, he shunned fame and lived as a virtual recluse, moving constantly from place to place. It is rumoured that he bought a home in Verona Bay, but he certainly has never used it, preferring to stay on the move. He never referred to his family connection. However, he constantly studied the VanGraff and Berunda legend, hoping to find a clue to his fathers whereabouts.
The out of the blue he was approached by Kirin VanGarff nephew. The merchant from Morrowind, carried a small note bearing a prophecy. Marimar instantly recognised the references to his father and abandoned his own studies for a chance to redeem his family name. Together, they reformed the extinct Night Hunters and put in motion events that would lead them to the Champion of Cyrodiil.
Marimar was by nature a solitary figure, but he had in his wanderings met a few people he could call friend. One of these was Harold of Leyawiin, who se life Marimar had saved. Marimar is still regarded as the foremost expert on the so called skill books, but refuses to acknowledge this while the Night Hunters still have work to do.
Marimar is an expert on skill books. As part of his services he will allow you to read the skill book reference guide.
If you are stuck for a quest, why not set out to collect every skill book. Use this to activate the copies in the library.
